AMONG ANIMALS
Even though our place is pretty secluded, we have a lot of VIP neighbours that all bird watchers die to see, such as Black Stork, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Golden Eagle, Corncrake, Eurasian Pygmy Owl, Ural Owl, European Nightjar, Kingfisher, Red-breasted Flycatcher, Grey-headed Woodpecker, White-backed Woodpecker, Syrian Woodpecker, Eurasian Three-toed Woodpecker. And plenty of others, such as Song Thrush, Robin, Raven, Goshawk, Blackbird, Jay, Hawfinch, Long-tailed Tit, Great Tit - , who might not be the celebrities, and yet they are fun to watch. And to top all that, you can also get to know Dipper and Goosander and observe their unusual nesting habits.
This noisy crowd can always count on some delicious seeds in our feeders and so they visit us regularly. Birds are not our only visitors. Hares, deer and roe deer, although uninvited, often feast on fruit trees and flowers in our garden. Occasionally we see lynx's traces in the area. So far we haven't been as lucky as many people in our village, who got to see the lynx itself.
Tranquility and closeness to nature, which make birdwatching and wildlife photography so much easier, is what set us apart from other places.
